Measurements of the UK coastline range from around 7,000 miles to in excess of 12,000 miles.
That is a significant delta, but what makes it so difficult to calculate perfectly illustrates how interesting our coastline is – with a myriad of coves, caves, bays and peninsulas.
The most inland place in the UK is still only 70 miles from the coast, and Scotland alone has over 900 offshore islands.
We are very well experienced in the acquisition of coastal and marine properties, which has included one of the largest private islands in Europe, as well as an island which included a post-medieval church formed out of a natural sea cave.
We have secured wonderful seaside houses, including secluded cottages on the West Coast and one of the finest houses in Elie.
The UK is lucky to offer a wonderful lifestyle in all seasons, even sometimes in the rain, but when fair winds blow and the sun shines on the coast and beaches of Scotland, we would argue there is nowhere better.
